About Oswaldo
Oswaldo Santos is a classically trained guitarist, composer, and experienced music educator with over 30 years of teaching and performing across Portugal, West Africa, and the UK. Having studied classical guitar in Lisbon and graduated in Mechanical Engineering, he followed his true calling into music — building a career that spans concert stages, school classrooms, and recording studios across three continents.
In London since 2011, Oswaldo has taught guitar across a wide range of settings, from the London Borough of Newham’s Every Child a Musician (ECaM) programme, to THAMES (Tower Hamlets Arts & Music Services), to Focus Music in Havering. He has helped hundreds of students achieve graded LCM Classical Guitar exams and regularly encourages young musicians to form bands, develop their own voice, and discover music as a lifelong pursuit.

Clave & Som Music Academy, Portugal
Guitar teacher; studied music theory & harmony under Mr Carlos Pinto of the Portuguese Navy Philharmonic Orchestra.

Concerts and recitals in London and internationally; member of Lauderdale Guitar Society.

Teaching Approach
Classical, Pop, Rock, Blues, Jazz, and World Music — students explore the full range.
All students are prepared for LCM/UWL graded Classical Guitar exams at their own pace.
Lessons incorporate singing and ear training as natural extensions of playing.
Oswaldo actively encourages students to form bands and experience music together.
We offer a free 15-minute introductory call before your first lesson.
